If the battery is not new, unused, and undamaged, a battery evaluation must be completed.
The "evaluation" is a series of questions which determines battery status.
Status is defined as Green, Yellow or Red depending on condition, which in turn determines how the battery must be packaged for collection.

We have accident case with High Voltage Li-ion Battery WF0FXXWPMHNYXXXXX. It is a case with an insurance company. If the repair is approved, we need to order a new HV battery. What do we do with the old battery?
If battery is being replaced and not subject to a warranty claim (i.e. customer damage), the battery removed is owned by the customer or insurer.
It is for the customer / insurer (owner) to determine disposal but if the customer prefers that Ford arranges disposal, please complete battery Evaluation, and advise that battery should be collected.

I still have a battery awaiting removal. Can you do what's necessary?

What does URN Mean?
URN is the unique reference Number. This is a number which is provided to identify the battery and the evaluation status.

We have already performed the battery evaluation procedure on the ford battery collection, but we have not received a response.
Once the evaluation has been completed you will receive an automated response confirming evaluation has been received.
Response time on determining battery status may vary depending on the details of evaluation.
Typically, this will be within 24 hours, though in some cases this may take up to 5 working days if further investigations are required.
Final status will be informed via email together with packing instructions.

I need an ADR document for a PHEV battery with the FINIS: 2616756 as I need to arrange a pickup of new part in the original packaging (unopened). I cannot complete an evaluation because the battery was never installed. Could you please send me an ADR document?
If the pack is new, unused, and undamaged and packed in the original packaging it can be in most cases returned without further labelling via Ford return logistics if the original labels are still in place. Please refer to GSB 22-7013 for getting advice how to create an ADR document and how to check if the labelling still fulfils the requirements of the Dangerous Goods Regulations. Please note that staff involved in the shipment of dangerous goods must be trained and properly advised.

Yes, all hybrid (mHEV, FHEV, PHEV), and BEV vehicles batteries need to be registered on Initial Form.

No, only online submissions will be accepted as data is verified as part of input.

If a battery is evaluated as Yellow it must be packaged in accordance with P908/LP904 ADR/IMDG Code, which means it needs to be packaged single with additional insulation material and in UN approved packaging. How can I get the required packing material?
In most cases the new battery delivered is packed in an UN approved packaging.
